Covid-19 Service Update

The UK has been overcome with this terrible virus. Our highest priority is to maintain the health of our clients and our staff whilst still providing critical courier services to help prevent and treat this disease.

From delivering CV-19 testing kits to NHS and key workers- to providing transport for much needed PPE and cleaning supplies, The SameDay Group are here to help.

Whilst the Country is in this unprecedented lock down, we urge everyone to help relieve pressure on our NHS by adhering to Government RULES (they are not guidelines)

  • Only go outside for food, health reasons or work (but only if you cannot work from home)
  • If you must go out, stay 2 meters (6ft) away from other people at all times
  • Wash your hands as soon as you get home

The single most important action we can all take in fighting coronavirus is to stay at home in order to protect the NHS and save lives’

That’s why we’re recommending not to make any unnecessary journeys, call the professionals who can safely collect – deliver your goods without any risk to you or themselves.

All our drivers are following strict collection and delivery procedures;

  • Calling clients advising accurate ETA’s for collection and Delivery
  • No contact with clients, at either collection or delivery point (5 meters apart)
  • No signing of any paperwork, or handheld devices
  • Fully equipped with correct PPE equipment, latex gloves, antibacterial wipes/gel and face masks

Symptoms & Self-Isolation

The most common symptoms of Coronavirus are recent onset of:

  • New continuous cough and/or
  • High temperature

For most people, coronavirus will be a mild illness. More on self-isolation here

If you do have to self-isolate during this epidemic, please do not risk any contact with others. If you feel there’s something you require urgently that can’t wait, there is an option; Call The SameDay Group and let the professionals take care of it!

Elderly and people with underlining health conditions are the most vulnerable. In most cases these are high priority for the health care/ local social worker and should be taken care of, but if you do have an elderly relative that is isolated and alone without care – please visit the Care Quality Commission Directory
